Your old family memories with new ones, all in one place
YesVideo’s New MemoryCloud Platform Allows Digitized Vintage Photos and Videos to Be Easily Viewed and Organized in Google Photos
If you’re like most of us, your family photos and videos are living in several places. Last year’s surprise birthday party photos are on your smartphone. Your festive family reunion photos are in an online account. And all of mom and dad’s videotapes and grandpa’s slides are sitting in a stack of dusty boxes in your closet or attic. While it would be a treat to access them in one place, finding and organizing all of them (especially those old ones) is a daunting task, and let’s face it — this hasn’t been on the top of your long to-do list. How do you even decide where to start?
This is the problem we’ve been addressing for nearly two decades at YesVideo, and we are happy to announce that we’ve just made it even easier. You can now save all of your old family memories into your Google Photos account!
Imagine having your Google Photos timeline go back several decades, to 1960, or even earlier. Or searching all of your photos by year, place, or even family member (available in most markets).
Does your dad at 3 years old look just like your son at the same age? And how does your own childhood trip to Disneyland look the same, or different, from the first time you took your children there this year? Google Photos even creates fun animations, collages, and movies from your photos.
Our favorite part is that all of this intelligent indexing and these curations are designed and built automatically, using Google Photos’ advanced machine learning technology. What was once considered a full weekend project can now be completed much more quickly! Plus, you can access those memories anywhere with the Google Photos web mobile app, available on Android and iOS.
“At YesVideo, we are committed to helping families unlock memories trapped on old media formats and bringing them back to life, in relevant and convenient ways,” said Lisa McCabe, President. “Saving vintage content to a trusted third-party platform such as Google Photos instead of building on our own homemade cloud experience means that generations of old and new personal content will be more seamlessly connected, especially with families’ growing digital photo collections.”
How it Works
- Drop off your photographs, slides, movie film reels and videotapes at the photo counter of a Costco, Sam’s Club, or Walmart near you.
- YesVideo digitizes your content, using their state-of-the-art equipment and secure processes.
- In about 3 weeks, you’ll receive private online access to your publish-ready content. You’ll have 60–90 days to save to Google Photos.
MemoryCloud Features
In addition to saving to Google Photos, MemoryCloud allows you to download digital files of your vintage videos and photos in original quality — ready to edit with third-party software. You can also order DVD or USB copies, perfect for gifting.
Get Started Today
We hope these new online capabilities have inspired you to start dusting off those boxes and gather your vintage videos and photos. Unfortunately, we can’t help you with that part! But we are certain that it will be worth your time, once you start experiencing the magic of sharing your precious moments with loved ones.
